	ArcIMS Interactive Mapping Tool This mapping tool (IMS = Internet Map Server and ARC is a software name) displays interactive maps that we made specifically for the LakeSuperiorStreams and Coastal GIS projects. A user can zoom in and out of maps, with different amounts of detail at different spatial scales. IMS allows different map layers (roads, land use, water bodies) to be turned on or off, to create customized maps. Detailed Instructions




Mapping Utilities Impervious Surfaces - Monitoring Minnesota's Changing Landscape Landview - make your own maps from MN DNR data. Includes access to historical aerial photography. Google Earth - puts a planet's worth of imagery and other geographic information right on your desktop. GIS Data/Information CoastalGIS - Study and explore Lake Superior's North Shore using interactive GIS images developed by the Natural Resources Research Institute. MN DNR Data Deli - an internet-based spatial data acquisition site that allows users to download raw computer-readable data for use in their Geographic Information System (GIS), image processing system, or traditional database environment.
