When it's windy you can see the resuspended sediment from this live webcam operated by Dr. Jay Austin at the Large Lakes Observatory (LLO) on the U. of Minnesota-Duluth campus.
There's another cam on the other side of the lake at the Granite Island Light Station.
You can use our Data Viewer to view real-time temperature and other meteorological data from an offshore buoy installed by LLO near the Duluth city water intake.
