Apply changes

Markers

  • To change the mapped parameter: Use the drop-down selection in either the "Markers" or the "Plot" tab, or use your up or down arrow keys. (The first plot parameter will also change.)
  • To change dates: Use the scroller in the "Markers" tab or use your left or right arrow keys. You can also click a point on the plot to change the map to that date.
  • Hover over a marker to view site details.
  • To zoom:
    • Click the + or - icons on the upper-left corner.
    • Use the scroll wheel on your mouse.
    • Hold down the "Shift" key, then click and drag on the map to zoom to a specific area.

Plot

  • To plot data from a site: Click on a marker to create a plot of the data from that sampling site.
  • To change the first parameter: Use the drop-down selection in either the "Plot" or the "Markers" tab, or use your up or down arrow keys. (The mapped parameter will also change.)
  • To change the second parameter: Use the drop-down selection in the "Plot" tab or hold down the "Shift" key while using your up or down arrow keys.
  • To plot data from multiple sites: Hold down the "Ctrl" key when you click on a marker to toggle the inclusion of that site in the current plot.
  • To zoom-in on the plot: Click and drag on the plot. Click the "Reset zoom" button to zoom back out.
  • Press the "S" key on the keyboard to swap the 2 parameters on the plot. This allows you to quickly toggle the parameter appearing on the map.
  • Click on a point on the plot to change the map to that date.

Datasets

  • Dataset information: Click the icon next to the dataset name for details and possibly links for further information and data.
  • You can use multiple datasets at one time. Sometimes this is useful, and sometimes this can interfere with effective use of the utility, for example if the datasets represent widely differing time ranges or sampling frequencies.
